What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember things like that you're signed in, your preferences, and how you interact with the service.
The cookies we use
1. Strictly necessary (always on)
These cookies are required for Lafio to work. They keep you signed in, remember your household session, and protect against fraud and abuse. You can't turn these off without breaking core functionality. They are set by us and by our infrastructure provider (Supabase, used to power authentication and storage).
2. Preference (with consent)
These remember choices you make — such as your cookie banner decision and any future locale, currency, or theme settings.
3. Analytics (with consent)
We may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate (which pages are visited, what breaks). These cookies are only set if you accept them in our cookie banner. We don't sell your data and we don't use these cookies to track you across other websites.
4. Payment (set by Paddle)
When you upgrade to Pro, our payment provider Paddle sets cookies on the checkout overlay to process the transaction securely and prevent fraud. See paddle.com/legal/cookie-policy.
Managing your choices
When you first visit Lafio, our cookie banner lets you accept all cookies or essential-only. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's site data for Lafio, which will prompt the banner again on your next visit.
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies entirely from their settings. If you do, parts of Lafio (like staying signed in) may stop working.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if our cookie use changes. The "last updated" date at the top tells you when.
